It has been a month since my last post. This almost souinds like a confession except that I am not Catholic (LOL!).
I have been pondering on this wonderful Circle Journal group and feel so lucky to be one of the artists participating in Through the eyes of an Artist. This has to be on its way to Canada by the end of next week. What am I going to do? I have so many ideas and not sure where to start.
I have been playing and this is one idea that I have come up with as my first page. Still have to do the actual cover pages and a bio page.

Background created with babywipe, Spiced marmalade Distress ink, Perfect pearls, Black Cheery Glimmer Mist. Excess ink wiped off craft sheet and let dry. Bird mask with Pine needles Distress Ink over top.
One of the exciting things this month for me was that I was asked to teach a class at the Scrapbook Cupboard on perfect Pearls. I was excited and nervous at the same time. The only sad thing was that no one booked in so I did have to go in. I was certainly excited and happy that I was asked to do it. Mind you I did keep it a secret from most of my friends. I do have this massive fear of intimidation and there are a few of my friends that certainly make me feel intimidated and that I am not at the same standard. This is why I want to do this journal. To help me realise that I am good. I can do it and others actually love what I do and are very supportive of this.

I love the bird mask and background on the baby wipe, it's gorgeous. Also congratulations on being asked to do a class at the Cupboard, I didn't know about it ... had you promoted it I'm sure you would have been supported. I'm sorry to hear that you feel intimidated by others ... everyone is just trying to do the best that they can with what they have ... me and you included. Good luck with the journal, it's great to stretch outside your comfort zone and do something for you.
Sarah, I know from personal experience that you are a talented woman, so next time don't hide that light of yours under a bushel...shout it out and they will come! And remember, to paraphrase Eleanor Roosevelt, no one can make you feel intimidated without your permission. Oh, and BTW, your journal is looking wonderful and I look forward to working in it when it finds its way to NYC!

Sarah you are one talented lady - otherwise you wouldn't have been asked to teach at the store. Watch out ladies Sarah's specialty class will be on again - with this medium Sarah you are a master.
