Another page for Elena

But this time it is for our Through the Eyes of an Artist group.

I started this a few weeks ago with a very old (1982) map of Brisbane. Tonight I added the rest. I love how this page has come together. Now to do page one. But that will be tomorrow.

On the inside of the door it says "Home for me is just south of Coomera in Pacific Pines. Pacific Pines was established in 1998. This Map in 1982".

I have done two very different pages for the lovely Elena. I sure hopes she likes them.

Till next time.

Elena's Journal page two

Finally, it is done. Page two of Elena's Gold and White journal for the I Dream in Colours group. I have enjoyed doing this page. I got to use my Twinkling H2O's and love them. There are three shades of gold with the alternate petals and leaves in Heavenly White. I even found a use for the ribbon that the paper was wrapped in. I like the way this came together and I hope Elena does too. Now to work on the other journal group, Through the Eyes of an Artist and do Elena's journal for that group. Thankfully I have until Wednesday to get this off to Lillian in Canada. If I get my act together I will try and send Sharon's too.

Elena's journal page 1

After pondering (again) I have finally done page one of Elena's journal. The colours for this journal are shades of white and gold. I did page two but did not like it so I will do it again, which means out comes the sewing machine.

The dove is a glimmer screen and I mixed heirloom gold perfect pearls with water. Looks so much better up close.

Now to work on page two of this journal and Elena's other journal for the other group we are in.

Till next time

Live Swap

Finally a live swap that is not on a Saturday and I can actually get there. This year I have not been to many of the Saturday due to other committments, mainly the girls swimming lessons.

I decided to use my PID www.paperimagerydesigns.com image of Marshall as I was not doing the image swap this month as it was 4*4. Behind the Microscope slide is pages from a 1952 German Dictionary that I picked up earlier this month. I quite like how this came together.

Now if only I had more of this image I could have made more ATC's.

Asian ATC

A few months ago I was one of the lucky 20 who was chosen to receive an Asian themed kit from the lovely Valerie. All of the recipents had to make an ATC from this kit and send it to Valerie so she in turn could send it to the winner. I as always was running late and sent it direct to the winner.

Just a quick update

It has sure been a busy few weeks. ATC swap, puzzle pieces to alter, journals to do and an altered tag album to finish from the scrapbook expo a few weeks ago. The list is sure getting longer of things to do.

Hopefully over the weekend I can get some more art up here for you all to enjoy.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Front cover of Journal

Wow, finally, it is done. My fromt cover for the I Dream in Colours jounal. I took this with me to the Scrapbook Expo hoping to find the right white font. And after showing it to a couple of people and going back today I found it. I was excited. This is ready to go to Lee on Tuesday.

I did show it again to one of the ladies I was talkin to yesterday and mentioned that I found it. The tutor knew what I needed and when I showed her the completed cover was asked what font. So great minds do think alike.

I hope everyone enjoys working on this as much I as I have and I look forward to seeing the completed Journal in about 14 months time.

Scrapbook Expo day 1

What a day. Parking was a nightmare. Will be leaving earlier on Sunday for sure and even earlier on Monday.

I had a great day. Didn't spend alot of money which is a good thing. I enjoyed looking around to see what was there and walked away so I can contemplate, do I really need it. Chances are, no not really.

Today I had two classes and I enjoyed both. Looking forward to seeing the photo of me from the first one. Not sure if I will share it. The second class was the Mini Canvas Wall hanging with Jill Geraghty-Groves and I am so glad I was able to get into this one and on the Saturday too. I loved the flexibility of this class and that we could add more to the wall hanging. We didn't have to stick to Jill's layout. I only added a couple of different things and one is the scalloped circle which I mounted. It looks great and going with the valuable rule of 3 changed direction of my middle row of butterflies to create a little bit of depth.

Looking forward to my classes tomorrow and then my final shopping day on Monday.

Til next time, I hope you are all enjoying your long weekend and being creative.

Yet another circle Journal....

Friends participating
Bio page
back cover

But I sure love doing them. This one is for the I DREAM IN COLOURS journal group. I am one of 14 talented artists participating from Australia, Canada and the USA.

This journal is based on the Stampington Publication True Colours which features journals from Teesha Moore, Claudine Hellmuth, Lisa Hoffman just to name a few.

We all chose our colour combinations and we all have to use these colours for the jounrals.

I chose Red Black and White. I am wishing there was a 4th colour, but I feel that the end result will be stunning.

I am running late with this. But I have to post to someone in Gladstone, QLD so mail only takes about 3 days on a good week.

After weeks of procrastination and letting my journal just sit on my desk and adding pieces when needed and just letting it sit there before I adhere it worked. I am loving what I did. I was trying to get it looking less scrap-booky, but I am very pleased with the end result. I am waiting for the Dimensional magic to dry and once that is done, I will add the photo tomorrow.

Take care
