This is a quilt for my eldest daughter Katherine. It started off as a monthly block exchange through SCQIS on yahoo groups. 11 others made a block for me and I made a block for them in the theme that thay had chosen. My theme was Bees, Bugs (Ladybugs) and Butterflys. However an Ant made its way into this quilt but at least it is pink. I have done about 9 swaps with this group of lovely ladies and I have been lucky to meet a couple of them IRL (in real life). This quilt started it's journey around Australia in January 2005. The top was machined quilted by a friend here on the Gold Coast. Parts of the fabric used in this quilt top was used at the Canberra SCQ Retreat 2006 in the Scrapbooking for Quilters workshop. Now where is that book? I have moved twice since then. That one can say was the starting point to me scrapbooking. To all the ladies who participated in this quilt top, thank you. I finished this quilt top at 1.39pm today. It is now on Katie's bed waiting for her to come home from school and see it. Now her sister wants me to finish her one. Off to locate a lovely butterfly pattern now.
'Till next time
